It's fire season again in Southern California. Workday (I work at a school) got canceled and I still went in for a couple of hours because I didn't get the notice until I was almost off the freeway. It's been a regular occurance in Southern California over at least 5 years at this point. Fires suck.

There's no redwoods and sequioas in Southern California to begin with!

I was driving past this fire today after work ended.

It's crazy how quickly the air saturates when this happens. I was at Ralph's in Marina Del Rey around 5pm and even inside the store you could smell and feel the smoke from the air.

A bunch of my coworkers left work early to rush home and make sure they got their pets and whatever ready to go if things get any worse. With so many concurrent fires and the fact that the winds are supposed to be 30+ MPH for half a day, it could be a bad couple of days.

Yeah I saw all the schools in the SFV are closing. Betting that means about a third of my coworkers are working from home tomorrow.

Felt like the air quality and wind were better today. Someone from the Madden discord who lives out in the valley said they kept his power off for 30 hours for "precautionary" reasons.
