Likes have intrinsic value, there cannot be like inflation! This is a myth perpetuated by those who wish to constrain the likes to only those with their hands on the levers of power. Then they further restrict the likes by only sharing them within the same institutions that have created the false like scarcity.
The simple fact is, that if we allow likes to spread throughout the marketplace the rising tide will lift all boats! Any individual like may seem to hold less value but everyone will have more likes. This will cause an overall increase in happiness and make those stored likes more likely to trickle down as otherwise hoarders feel encouraged to contribute knowing they will receive back many times the likes.
This is also why we cannot allow the like taxes as are being proposed, the tax is ultimately on the like receiver not the like giver as they claim! Taxing held likes will not cause them to be used, it will simply destroy them before they can be used. And who gains from the taxed likes? Corrupt scandal ridden moderators and their ally, Hunter Biden. Not the common poster like you and I.
Whatever the case, the answer is to free the likes, not to allow them to be hoarded and weaponized by those cowardly forces who try and claim they are only preserving the value of likes. Don't trust them, they are trying to devalue likes in general in hopes of abolishing likes for the average poster while sharing in them in their corrupt corporate board rooms and rewarding their sex scandal comrades.
