In 2017 my daughter wanted to take me to see puddle of mudd for my birthday. Saliva preformed......and kept performing. Wondering why i asked a security guard what was up....turns out some people are so blessed they are ignorant and puddle of mudd was a no show. However disappointed i was not. Always liked Saliva..but now I am a true fan. They rocked their asses off, killed it, made me feel 20 again. My daughter was killed shortly after in a car accident so that is a birthday memory I will never forget. To Saliva thank you, you saved a concert but made a mom & daughter have a lifelong memory . RIP my angel eyes a mother has never been more proud of a daughter[/quote]

a really crucial element for me is the dude on turntables or "programming" who doesn't really seem to do anything that you can hear most of the time but is rocking harder than anyone else in the band

in this hedpe video the dude is standing on his turntables just jamming out hard, then he gets a spot near the end to scratch

it's like how Staind is on all these lists, but they don't rap, don't have turntables/programming, don't really incorporate any other genres, etc. but because they were on Fred Durst's label and were popular at the same time

Deftones probably my favorite band full stop. Best shows I've been to too. Most ppl just consider them metal or hard rock these days though since they genre hop song to song and album to album so much. Saw Chevelle live as well, they rocked too, I haven't really kept up with them but up to Scifi-Crimes they were still dropping good albums.

I will admit to liking certain songs and albums in certain contexts from some of these, like I didn't post Linkin Park at the start because they're such an obvious one CRAWING IN MY SKIIIIIIINNNNNNN that it's a meme, but I do quite like their album Reanimation for example, you could probably cobble together a single album of Korn stuff from all their albums that I might enjoy

Cheville is probably the least bad band posted so far aside from Deftones, though I probably haven't listened to them since after 2005

Korn has at least 3 classic albums to me. I'm way past the point of having shame about the music I listen to. I'm not going around listening to numetal all the time but I like a lot of this stuff...still. I have moved past a lot of it though

. I used to like Taproot a lot for instance lol but even then if I hear it I can laugh about it without feeling too cringey.
