I played it some years ago and it felt really dated ever then. Especially graphically.

Neverwinter Nights 2, on the other hand, is quite good.

But I’d never play a console port of NWN2—that’s a really good game but it has enough baked in interface jank that putting it on a controller would be a nightmare.

NWN2 takes an age to adjust to even on a PC. I recently tried to go back and play Mask of the Betrayer again, but I was constantly futzing with the camera modes and distance and whatnot, never happy with it. It put me off so much I shelved it again for another time, when I could hopefully be more patient.

I bought NWN2 like 10 years ago on D2D and the game felt dated even then. I remember doing something in a port town, a character walks off screen, the camera fades down and back up, and there is text explaining what happened and that's it. Conversations are very static and stilted.

Neverwinter Nights any good?

It's not the best of the D20 games, but it depends on how much you can stomach reading/doing things that cause reading.

Certainly wouldn't play it or other isometric d20 games on console, unless they fixed the real-time-with-pause stuff for that to be more manageable on console sticks.

As soon as I get my PC replacement parts, I'm in for Halo: Reach. The only 360-Bungie Halo I haven't played, and it's only like $10 so shouldn't be a bad investment even if the multiplayer is notoriously shit that outing.

I think I'm getting no new releases this month. Will probably grab a few things I missed from earlier this year on the Steam sale whenever that kicks off (today?)

e: forgot reach is on pc game pass so i'll at least check it out to see how halo on pc feels now.

Pre-paid for Samurai, Uguu~ Infinite Combate, and Jajamaru a month or two back so they're a lock.  Everreach is only $25 so will give it a shot and see if it's a decent enough Mass Effect-esque action game.
