I haven’t posted my DS thoughts or read the thread here which I’m sure is bashing it.

But I’m 2/3rds through the game at 20+ hours and my thoughts are that even if you stripped all the story/writing from the game (which is the weakest part) the gameplay is fantastic because Kojima is up there with Miyamoto as a legendary gameplay designer. At this point the game is a 10/10 for me and the best original AAA IP since Assassin’s Creed 1 imo. Biggest flaws are Kojima writing is stupid as usual and no portable music player is a glaring mistake. Otherwise incredible game. It’s been a great year for games so idk if it’s my GoTY, but it’s a contender for sure and I’m cool with it winning all the awards.

When I beat it I’ll join the thread and fight you all.
