Trevor Noah's between the scenes clips on youtube are way better than the material they actually air. I just think the writers suck.

I don't just miss the Daily Show, but Jon Stewart on TV in general.

:salute

I really like Bill Maher and try to watch all of his episodes on HBO but he has some weird break now ???

They take a break twice a year.

I started getting disinterested in Real Time a few years ago and then just stopped watching after he shit on Stan Lee (when he died).  Maher just lost me there.

Old Colbert was a persona. New one is the real him.

I watched Colbert and Stewart almost daily when they were on. I miss Colbert as much as Stewart

The only clips I ever see of Colbert are him doing Trump jokes, and god damn he might have the worst Trump impression on TV

it gets him viewers, sadly. His ratings went up when he started to do the whole #RESIST persona. There's articles about this, I think the original Rolling Stone one about a year into his tenure talks about this.

Jon Stewart was supposed to do movies and stuff but I think he's mostly writing on occasion for Colbert now and doing other things.
Colbert just completely sold out to the type of political correct fluffer comedy he used to dislike himself.
For the money and his family I suppose, can't really blame him. He does seem to be somewhat sad on the inside.
During the Colbert Report days you could tell he was really having a blast, now even his own smiles are fake.

John Oliver's reheated 'act' worked 5 minutes a month on the Daily Show not in a full show HBO format. I'd love to know the ratings on that one.
Bill Maher is just a stoner who's occasionally has a zinger but also misfires a lot, still he never sold out.
Steve Carell started doing movies after The Office but the sort of movies he finds interesting. Such as VICE, where he played Rumsfeld perfectly. He's still got it.

Norm MacDonald was right on the money when he predicted Trump was a great comedian but bad for comedy.

I'm getting to the point where I can't stand Colbert anymore, his jokes are stale and way too safe, his material is repetitive and the audience sucks, fucking minutes of howling and cheering at the inane jokes and every single Trump diss. All of the monologue clips on youtube would be much shorter if it wasn't for that incessant cheering. I guess the audience was just as annoying during the Colbert Report days but at least the jokes weren't so lame then so it was bearable.

But Colbert's Trump impression is much much better than Trevor Noah's at least.

Trevor Noah is completely lame and unfunny. Glad he fucked off from Cape Town so I'm never in danger of being dragged to his shyte.
