DD/MM/YY

GTFO with your weird date format :bolo

As demonstrated by both your post and mine, this date format doesn't make sense.

As you said, it's not April 1st.

April 1st
4pril 1st
4 / 1st
4/1st
4/1

Who the fuck says "The FIRST of APRIL" in real life? No one.

To end this stupid debate once and for all, all countries got together in 1988 and standardized on YYYY-MM-DD for calendar dates as ISO-8601.

You know what's peculiar about this format? It preserves America's "month then day" (MMDD) formatting, just adding the year to the beginning.

This format is used in the following countries:

- China
- Germany
- Mongolia
- South Korea
- Poland
- Portugal
- Romania
- South Africa
- Sri Lanka
- Sweden
- Switzerland
- The United States of America
- Lithuania
- Some others

Case closed DDMM is always wrong next please

Cyan and Green = DMY.

Cyan and Green = DMY.

It's over Tasty, we have the high ground.

If WW3 were started over date formats, cyan and green would be obliterated by red and yellow, not sure how you can argue with that.

Also yeah like I'm going to take Australia's opinion on something.

Also I can't stress enough how many countries are a part of ISO and signed off on YYYY-MM-DD. Clearly the DDMM nations saw the error of their ways and tried to correct it, like I hope America does with the metric system one day.

But MMDD is one thing we definitely got right.

even you guys say the date first sometimes formally eg your Independence Day celebrations commonly known as The Fourth Of July.

another case of 'muricans being contrarians and making measuring things a little more annoying.
