Anybody work out at home instead of the gym? Im not a big fan of the gym, but discovered that there are a lot of ways to get in shape that dont require any weights, other tools or going to a gym. Stupid me thought I couldnt get in shape. I have some lower back problems because my core is shit and I sat way too much the past 5 years
Ill make a progress picture if anyone wants me to keep yall updated. Im trying to lose a bunch of fat and get ripped as well. Right now im following Chris Heira's videos on youtube, guy seems legit.
But I also found out you gotta do the right way to plank

there are some really good stretches in the reddit one, but LOL @ the difficulty spike.
home workouts are more than enough for most people. main issue is discipline (sticking to plan and diet) and ability to have a routine. aside from not getting injured obv.

ya, at home is real convenient
however, having a solid idea of goals, budget, and exercise preference is important
equipment like an at home pull bar or a dumbbell kit or vested weights could really come in handy

giving it some thought, I'm not a personal trainer but your current shape really effects what you should do first
calisthenics is going to be real hard to get into if you are starting really out of shape and overweight

im not that overweight, I weighed myself a week ago for the first time in years and I was 79KG with my clothes on and shoes (I was at a friends house, thought id just test it)
Im around 1.79m in height. I did take some pictures of my body last week in the mirror, if I feel confident enough I might post them once I start to see some improvement

79kg and 1.80? That's not overweight. You probably just have some belly fat

do consider including cardio in the mix too, like the boxing you posted about elsewhere
I also think you shouldn't shy away from spending at least something
a pullup bar for home would go a long way, though progressing up to proper ups could be a challenge so you could try negatives. basically grab a chair or something and hop on top to grab the bar at max contraction then lower yourself down
repeat. as you strengthen you can descend slower
if you can't quite manage that you might need to consider band-assisted
I would still recommend you consider some sort of freeweights for home to address specific areas of weakness
