« on: January 26, 2020, 02:27:37 PM »
How many times will i fall into this trap

Spent 4 bucks on ripe ecological avocados

Come home, they are all dead

End up making guac from avocados from the freezer

Every fucking time

Frozen avocado is a good alternative for guacamole.

When I go out for lunch I often select dishes with avocado since it's so difficult to find good ones from the grocery store.

We buy them all the time for our little one, probably threw a couple Hundred eurobucks in avocados in the trash last year because of bad spots.

Avocados are overrated and overpriced near tasteless mush that has to pair with something else to be anything worth eating.

Not entirely sure we are even eating the same fruit; from what I understand the Cali/Mexican Avocados that we get here on the West Coast taste pretty different from what most people get, even on the East Coast of the US.. not sure what they are like in Germany.

I do like olives though.

IIRC most avocados here come from Israel or Peru(?), but point taken.

Greek olives though. :mouf

i'm fairly certain like 80-90% of avocados in the us are imported from our southern neighbors and if they are domestically grown, more likely than not they're from california.
