I can't believe it was a pee joke in disguise.  The 80s were wild AF.

I was surprised at how well the movie holds up, on the whole. There's... stuff in it that's not really appropriate any longer, but I tried re-watching Eddie Murphy's RAW, and it was pretty cringe-y.

The dialogue in ghostbusters is genuinely good.

I don’t recall anything too inappropriate other than the ghost sucking scene, (which imo is kind of the worst scene in the movie) but the fact that it is super Republican is kind of funny nowadays. It’s like no wonder these fucking boomers are insane. Even their comedies are basically Republican propaganda.

I also don’t think ghostbusters 2 is as bad as people make it out. The beginning of it is pretty good, And it has some good scenes and some really bad ones. The product placement in that movie is fucking out of hand though. They really blatantly display all of the brands when the guys are snacking. These dudes live in NYC ordering fucking papa johns.

If you watch the two movies close together it’s really obvious, because it’s all fake brands in the first one and then in ghostbusters 2 it’s like “we are eating Cheezits, see the box prominently displayed in the background?!”

The new sequel unfortunately looks kind of bad, and I’m not really sure who that movie is supposed to be for.

Excited to see Bill Murray will be back against as Venkman (as well as dan Akroyd and  Ernie Hudson).

But Bill is still whining about them damn proton packs 😂

It's nowhere near as good as the original.  Not at all.  When I was little, I loved the first GB movie as a funny ghost-catching adventure.  As an adult, I love it for being one of the best comedies of the 80s.  A lot of the jokes went right over my head when I was a kid, lol.

Hopefully better than that awful 2016 movie.  If not...at least we got that video game, which might as well be GB3.

Oh yeah, it’s definitely worse than the original, it’s just not quite as awful as people make it out to be, imo.
