Can this be a random chat about 'murcan cities?

What abt Grand Rapids? Spent a bit of time there when holidaying by Lake Michigan a while back and had a good time. Not sure if it was just 'coz I was in holiday mode though. Went to some cool galleries, ate some good Ethiopian. Seemed very relaxed, like I could go there and disappear for a while, but also enjoy a somewhat decent city?

That's a lot midwestern cities, tbh. At least the ones that weren't wrecked by being part of the Rust Belt. Madison, Fort Wayne, Ann Arbor, etc

Imagine moving to Michigan.  :donot.

Go on a plantation tour and call out the stupid white people who complain about acknowledging the past.

Or you could go to Tybee Island or Jekyll Island and/or St. Simons Island and get the same kind of atmosphere, just with much nicer beaches and less people.

Savannah has different stuff, sure, but I dunno- the vibe I got was "this is all kinda the same, but the islands are way nicer."

Cut out the Georgia part and that was the most popular one in the 90s pre Jenna Jameson.

Probably to go in the water, sure- but I see it's like 79 degrees at Jekyll right now.    Even here in ATL it's not too bad lately.  Probably 55-60 something average now.

scad :neogaf

The first people I ever met from SCAD all worked at Stereo D, the company that had to graft 3D effects onto movies for the sole sake of justifying 3D movies.

In the end it seems like all the trade/tech people I've met working in games and game adjacent stuff. The people with talent and drive get work, but it really isn't because of where they went to school and the school mostly taught them some formal process for the real world that they wouldn't otherwise have had.

Lots of rain on the forecast if you're looking into going in the next week or two, though.

For Esch, but I guess for OP as well.

Last time I had this "issue," the hotel was all slick and had the TV mounted to the wall (unmovable), but they had inputs built into the room desk- except no HDMI. :dizzy  Just VGA and some composite inputs.  In 2019.  And this was a pretty new hotel, too.
