Man EGM trashed the game for the most arbitrary reasons. They'll give ANYTHING a bad score these days lol.

So far, Rogue Galaxy is nothing like Skies, other than the whole pirate thing.

The battle system reminds me of a combination of Kingdom Hearts and KOTOR/FFXII, but mostly Kingdom Hearts. Which isn't a bad thing at all. And also, controlling your character is alot like Phantasy Star Online, except they can jump and are more mobile.

This is one of the few RPGs that appeals to me.  I'm going to "try it out" first, and if I like it, I'll order it down the road...

Hey now. I love Skies of Arcadia (DC), it's probably one of my favorite games ever. But still, Skies and Rogue Galaxy are different beasts.

This is an awesome grind game. I'm just meandering in the starting area, leveling up my sword and scoring hunts.

I sucked at it last night, coulda been the scotch...Im going to get back into it this weekend. WoW has been my drug of choice and takes up my gaming time.
