The first game already had a plethora of systems to get used to and they've only added more, to the point that they clearly ran out of intuitive button combinations to activate things. I imagine going straight to 2 will be overwhelming to say the least.

More systems sounds really unappealing.

Right off the bat, the review in the OP says it doesn't matter if you've played the first game or not.   Appears to be a huge improvement over the original and takes place before the first game, so not even the story matters.

Probably going to get the deluxe version of this that comes with the season pass.  I liked what I played of the beta a hell of a lot more than the original.

BTW, nobody seems to know for sure, but right now the game is also a PS4 "exclusive".  Gamespot says it will come out on PC in November but there's nothing official yet AFAIK.  Can't see it not coming out for PC later on.

I like the new ones, it now has abilities similar to Igavanias. But in favor for those, they should've cut some old mechanics and de-convolute the menus. The opposite happened.

I will get this down the line, but I really have to be in the mood for something this hardcore.

Looks like they tripled down on what made me eventually get tired of the first one. Hard pass.

Just got it from Amazon.  Dunno what's up, but I got three games from them this week and they've all come a day early.  Not gonna complain*!

Best-looking HDR-enabled PS4 game I've played- has some easy to adjust settings to make it look nice and colorful, too.  Nice to see PS4 HDR not looking like washed-out shit on my TV for once.

I could not play the first game (only the Betas) but I’m enjoying this game a lot. The character creator is pretty good, BTW.

I really hate the Dark Realm concept. Sure let’s make a stamina based game have boss phases where your stamina pretty much cannot regenerate. It’s fine in the world itself as a little mini boss, but I absolutely despise this shit in boss fights.

I’m probably about to drop this and I actually really liked Nioh. Completely unnecessary system stacking.
