They are about the same imo. But I come from a culture where both are equally important. Being honest I mostly  eat mediterranean, middle eastern and Indian food so i reach for lemons more.

Yeah, limes have been a relatively recent addition to supermarkets here, maybe 20 years tops. I don’t dislike them, but they are missing the sweetness that makes lemons so good.

Here's a suggestion. Take a dish with idk meat or veggies. Add onions and clinatro. Then before eating, take a lime, squeeze the juice on the dish. Heaven.

I used to be one. Then I ate tons of Vietnamese and Mexican food. Now I love it.

For now stick to just meat/veggies and onion with lime. Onion is good enough especially if sauteed.

I don't eat those majorly, but I agree with you: They're pretty much the same for my cracka pallet.

I'd rather have onions or spice's over them.
