IIRC, she's wanted to for a while according to talk. Portia is the one that had her continue because "you make other people happy, you should do it." IIRC, even her brother (if I remember the sibling right?) wanted her to do it because of that.

But she's been tired of the show for a while. So if this is the push that does it: Whatever, she gets out "clean" unless the investigation actually hurts her.
