The issue imo is that you kinda like Zelda but went and bought Dark Souls.

And why is that?
Quote from: Himuro on January 31, 2007, 11:49:45 PMAnd why is that?Because his movies are incredibly boring and outside of Dr stranglove they suck.

If his other films are at that quality, or even above it, I think this set would be quite a nice gift.
You really dont know film students do you TVC. Which is suprising, becuase you would fit the stereotypical film student here.

The individual cardboard-cased movies were in it. The set was very expensive, and the movies generally don't have good features, so it really wasn't worth the high price tag. I'm hoping someone does these DVDs right some day.
Barry lyndon
So TVC, would you say that it's just better to get the movies individually? I'd figure that's the case. It definitely seems cheaper, but I'm a box set whore. I HAVE to have the box! What about that documentary dvd that comes in there?
I never owned the set. I just own some of the individual titles. They used to be like 40 a pop individually, with little extra content, so I've only started picking them up recently because I've been seeing them cheaper.
I've never even heard of Barry lyndon , whats it about? Why Isnt Spartacus in the collection? or even paths of glory - if i remember correctly that was alright too.
Dr. Stranglove you fool.
40 dollars a pop? What a rip. I'll get them individually then. I got FMJ for um...I think 11 bucks, or maybe 9. What Kubrick film should I see next, though? I'm torn between 2001 and Clockwork.

Spartacus. . . I dunno. Maybe some studio owns the rights to it? Same with Paths of Glory. Since that was his first, and he was probably after whatever funding he could get, he probably sold away the rights to someone that doesn't want to let go.
Also, am nintenho is a stupid homosexual.

Man, a thread with FoC and am nintenho bickering back and forth is like taking a bath in your own urine.
Himu: get 2001, stat! Just like TGTBATU is my favorite film, and Vertigo is a close second, well, you guess it, 2001 is a close third. Those 3 are pretty much interchangeable for me.

Hopefully 2001 is played on AMC or TCM next week!Man, I keep holding off on getting a netflix account. NEXT WEEK.
Does ACM and TCM show films uncut in their OAR though? Honest question (dont have those channels), not a criticism. If not, fuck that noise, get the DVDs.
