As many of you know, I was laid off due to COVID-19.  Been job hunting, but slim pickings rn!

So I've been taking some online courses to refresh and learn some new skills.  Although I'm not a developer, why not learn a programming language while I search for and apply for openings?

I'm seeing a lot of recs for Python but wanted to check with the devs of The Bore.

Not really development more general agency, tech, design, creativity but I always enjoy Chris Do's content from TheFutur.

He has some courses up on sale now because of corona-chan.

You could check out Coursera. They offer a lot of free classes through major universities. I started one once years ago but was too busy with work and dropped out but I still get their emails.

I've taken loads of free courses from Coursera, Udemy, and LinkedIn Learning. Most courses are not a replacement for a university course. They are a good alternative to reading a book or following an online tutorial.

Python is an excellent choice for learning to code.

The best way to learn a programming language is to build something yourself without following instructions. Programming languages all have different strengths and you want to pick the right tool for your specific project.
