i made ZERO moral judgement on how she lost that weight

if she's happy, that's great. i've legit never once criticized her in this entire thread (or ever really)

off topic, but is this like a 'like' record so far on the bore?  :o

One of Shaka's posts for example. Another ribbing Syph :doge

Probably a bunch sprinkled in the selfie topic.

That's some deep Bore lore.

You CAN lose 100 pounds with diet and exercise in a few months.

Now whether she did is of course debatable.  IIRC the stories came out in January, so she could have been going for a while?

Shit really? I would have imagined that's like a 6 month project. Which still would be impressive to me. I can't really imagine fluctuating 100 pounds in either direction. It's pretty  :o to me to have those extremes.

What is the real timeframe? She already looked thinner in her August 11, 2019 and October 24, 2019 instagram posts, but it's impossible to tell.

Also, where is this 100 pounds number coming from? Thin air?

Well what I'm saying is the stories came out in January;  so she could have started in November or December;  making it more like a 6 month project.

100 pounds in 6 months is doable for sure.   Seen it done in 4.

Also was it really 100 pounds?  Where did that number even come from?
Doubt.
100 pounds in six months is a 2,000 calorie a day deficit. A 2,000 calorie deficit for a woman is nuts. As she slimmed down, she would have been under 2,000 calories just to maintain her weight (without a ton of exercise).

If youre morbidly obese you can safely lose over 10 to 15lbs a month. Possibly even more depending on how much fat you're holding. The caloric deficit of someone who's 100lbs overweight would be pretty big if they were eating at 1600cals a day and mixing in physical activity. It would take an enormous amount of willpower though. Ultimately mitigated through the guiding hand of nutritional chefs and trainers in her case.

My guess is she went on a crash diet that had her losing over 15lbs a month that tapered down to 10 until she hit her weight now. If the numbers are true.

She's 5'9" so her daily sustainable calories will be higher than the average woman.

And yeah seen many people try to throw calories vs. fat burn calculations at me when I've lost weight, to prove that the weight I definitely lost, didn't happen lol
Assuming a weight of 240 at 5'9" and five days of exercise:  2,781 calories for maintenance.
Assuming a weight of 190 at 5'9" and five days of exercise:  2,448 calories for maintenance.
Assuming a weight of 140 at 5'9" and five days of exercise:  2,116 calories for maintenance.

This is assuming no change to her metabolism and more importantly no change in her NEAT (Non-exercise activity thermogenesis). Though this also assumes she didn't exercise several hours a day.

How much weight did you lose and at what timeframe? Also, aren't you a 6'4" male?

That's crazy. Congrats.

I'm not saying it's not possible, I just doubt Adele lost 100 pounds in six months without surgery.

A PSMF (i.e., protein and nothing else) plus exercise can get it done (probably without exercise if you're fat enough to begin with). Contestants on the Biggest Loser have done 100 pounds in much less time.

It's crazy to me how some people here don't know or barely know who Adele is but I worked in a music store when 21 was super massive. We'd have the album playing and sell at least 5-6 copies of it each time. The girl was nearly everyone's shit.

how did a millionaire lose weight during a pandemic where there's literally nothing to do and she doesn't have to worry about losing a job or paying her bills? a mystery for the ages indeed.

if she really did lose 100 lbs., then there's no natural way she did over the course of a few months.
k, you forgot to quote the part that applies to you though

Her song "Rollin in the Deep" was everywhere back in the early 2010's, that and "Somebody That I Used To Know" (Gotye/Kimbra) were inescapable back then.

It's been about a year since she changed her diet and got a trainer. This isn't some extreme weight loss. Let that woman live.

Oh I know who she is and could hum a couple of songs (Skyfall and the Could have it all one, that one is catchy), she is ubiquitous like that even though I never sought her songs or style of music. But I guess that's why this public image event is the most painful normie discussion ever : She was known internationally as "That fat talented pop singer", regardless of being familiar with her art.
