The Who's Best Song
« on: February 01, 2007, 01:25:34 PM »
I have to go with Love, Reign O'er Me. Maybe I've just heard Baba O'Riley too many times, but the way Daltrey belts out the former is just too fucking awesome. Also, Quadrophenia has to be one of my favorite instrumentals ever.

What spurred me to make this thread is the newly acquired knowledge that Pearl Jam covered Love, Reign O'er Me. It's nowhere near the original, yet morons on Youtube were saying otherwise. I hate people.

As was I. You're too cool to actually like that version...and I think if someone actually did like it, they'd be too ashamed to admit it.

I saw them last month with a friend.  They sure do suck these days.  I wish Keith Moon wasn't dead.

I saw them when I was in 10th grade right after John Entwistle died. I thought they were awesome.

Also, Ringo Starr's son was the drummer at that show/on that tour. I don't know if he still is or not. But when I saw them, he had shaved his head and shaved of his goatee, and he looked JUST LIKE Keith Moon. It was kinda creepy actually.

Won't Get Fooled Again is probably their best song.  I also really like 5:15, The Seeker, Christmas, Pure and Easy, Dr. Jimmy, I'm Free, and We're Not Gonna Take It.

Though in concert, I don't think anything beats See Me, Feel Me/Listening to You.
