I haven't had nom ka chai since January. You can have it with either Chives, Scallions, or bamboo. The only place I know that sells it right now in L.A. is in the Chinatown area off of Hill Street in an Asian plaza. Across the street from the Public Library. No idea if they're open right now. You can order them to steam, fry, or sell you a package and cook them yourself at home. If you're lazy you can just microwave them.

Given the choice I will always go steamed cuz I like that "pure" dumpling flavor but some classics like samosa or curry puffs must be fried
