The only adapting that's being done is the Republicans changing their message about getting through the war so they can try to survive November.

"Stay the course" is the lamest phrase ever; it literally, explicitly, specifically suggests a stagnant policy--I can't believe Rove/etc actually has (had) people saying it in the first place, let alone after it's been completely and thoroughly established that the American people are not happy with the status quo over there.
