No, they are a Japanese company, but they probably have some Chinese investors. Still, they pulled out from China half year ago precisely because this, so I don’t think it was that easy decision from Cover.

While I don’t doubt there were some passive aggressive pressure for a segment of cover, Coco is tired of dealing with this stuff and that the harassers go after the other girls every time she collaborates with them. Many of these girls are socially awkward IRL.

RIP Berserk guy. I fuxed heavy with this shit. Can't get myself to read manga BUT I did spent the last couple years looking at recap videos and theory vids on youtube. This shit is amazing. I don't understand how it hasn't gotten a proper anime adaption since 1997. I watched the first movie which was cool, need to watch the other two.

That's my takeaway, as well. Antis were going after the other members and harassing them for doing collabs with Coco, which I would imagine put a lot of stress on her on top of having to deal with everything directed at just her. There was a stream a couple of months ago [now gone] where Coco broke down and started crying and was comforted by Kanata [since they live in the same house]. I'd hoped that she'd be able to work through it and that the harassment campaign would eventually dry up, but I guess not.

She talked about creative differences in her member's chat. She isn't allowed to do the things she wants to do and having to keep doing the things they'll allow her to do is making her unhappy. She doesn't want to have to put up a fake smile while making content.

I've been enjoying watching this new vtuber, Tenma Maemi. She's Japanese but she's studying English and all her streams are mostly Engrish. She had a heated gamer moment in her most recent Blasphemous stream and broke her mouse, rage quit the game, then (jokingly) yelled at a viewer to get out of her stream and take his whole family with him, except for his mother who is in her contacts.
