I just noticed that the Taliban signed a peace deal in March, thus ending the single longest war in American history. Trump's reward for this was an onslaught of negative news about Russian sponsored assassinations in Afghanistan. Similarly, Trump was the first president since Bill Clinton to walk on North Korean soil. This gesture ultimately failed but rather than encourage the president to succeed, the media ridiculed him as a dictator lover. Trump aborted a global effort to oust Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela. And Trump tried so hard to normalize relations with Russia that he suffered years of libelous abuse for it from sniveling cowards like Mandark and Great Rumbler.
Love him or hate him, I can't think of a president who has tried harder to secure peace overseas in the past 40 years than the current occupant of the White House. If Obama can get the Nobel Peace Prize for starting a secret war in Yemen, shouldn't Trump get at least some recognition as a lover of peace?
