I hated it on day 1.

Then I liked it for a while.  It was a big hit at Christmas when there were tons of people around.

Now, between the dearth of software, the shitty network implementation (It will be time before a decent online game is out on it), the shitty virtual console store, and the shitty friends list, it's really difficult to defend the purchase.  In the end I am happier with my PS3.

The friends list thing is easily the most unforgivable crime.  I can believe that they will improve the net code, and we can at least count on Nintendo delivering good games, but at this point we know that they won't give up on their pointless, distinguished mentally-challenged, 2-way handshake for the friends list.  If parents were concerned about me raping their kids, make the 2-way handshake an option in parental controls.  Don't punish the entire userbase because some people don't like child molestors.

QFT. Another reason why I refused to buy a Wii, and apparently made a good decision.

From the friend list debacle to the software drought WHICH I CALLED months ago, it's just not worth it. People don't seem to understand that software droughts are going to be much more painful on the Wii than the Gamecube or any other system. We'll see the release of a lot of these quick mini game romps with little replay value released; people are going to get real tired of those games, and they won't simply be able to go out and buy bigger games. Outside of Sonic - which has been pushed up for release which isn't a good sign imo - what other games are in the pipeline that will keep people busy? This month the 360 is going to get GRAW2 and Crackdown, two games that will offer lots of fun and replay value, in part due to ONLINE PLAY. If you bought Red Steel at launch there'd be no point in playing it again by now since it's not online.

While I hate Sony fans on GAF (and sonycowboy) and would love to see the PS3 fail I'm also annoyed with Nintendo fans who seem to forget about the previous generation whenever Nintendo shows something new. Why do these distinguished mentally-challenged fellows think that the droughts and meh software are a thing of the past?

PD, I think the Wii situation will play out very similar to the DS situation:  Third party support, but Nintendo will be the only one making good games.  And games that sell.  Let's just hope Nintendo's console efforts this time are better than the lackluster GC years.

Rocket Slime is a very fun and charming game.  I loved it beginning to end, but the tank battles were so busted.  Within my first several tank fights, I already developed a strategy that allowed me to TAKE NO DAMAGE in battles, and I exploited it until the end of the game.

That's the same reason why I decided not to get it at first, but it's so easy to avoid it. I've been playing it for over a week now and it's still okay.

*FATAL GLITCH*
If your multiplayer profile name is less than 4 characters long, your game may
freeze and then not be able to turn back on, or you will loose all of your
data. This is called the Fatal Glitch. Avoid it by editing you character
profile and making your name 4 characters or more long.
Also, do not turn the DS off when it is possible the game is still writing to
the card.

There's some more glitches mentioned in the link, but they don't destroy your game. The only one on that list that I've encountered is having to press B to end the battle animation.
