It was my most listened to tune from this year and it came out this year, so let's roll with it. Feel like I won't really have a definitive view on 2020 until a few years down the line. I absorb albums and tracks in my own time and don't track what happens in music on a regular basis unless it pops up in my social media feed of artists I do track. Don't visit any music boards, don't read online music sites daily or even monthly. So whatever I come by is more sporadic and spread about all years as opposed to the now.

I guess I just see it as a crutch on Bridgers' part because I hate 99% of her music, meanwhile I see Alice Phoebe Lou as sex postive because I like her music.

I generally try to judge how mainstream a musician is by their number of late-night appearances, which is still a pretty good metric to use even though talkshows are dead/dying.

can we post albums? cuz this:

got me through some unpleasantry earlier this year... most of you know i was overseas for a good bit of time, and then covid hit which meant a) I wasn't coming home any time soon and b) i was required to separate myself from my coworkers for long stretches while maintaining some kind of 'continuity'... add to this my kids back at home were less than thrilled about me being gone for so long with no return date in sight... this album centered me and kept me chill when I needed it, and likewise disappeared into the air when necessary.

that said please continue posting young white girls with their titties out. that centers me too.
