No More Heroes 3 for sure.

And hopefully Humankind as well, but I do want to see some reviews and impressions before.

Didn’t finish anything I’m playing in June outside Nier Replicant and SaGa 1, so TWEWY2 didn’t happen. Adding in FF3 pixel remaster tomorrow so if I finish stuff up by the end of August and have room to add more stuff in my current playlist I’ll play Psychonauts 2 and NMH3 in that order.

September-November is slammed so if I don’t start those in August probably won’t get to them or TWEWY2 until xmas/ny.

Nothing for me this month. Did a tiny binge on retro purchases so it'll be nice to give my wallet a reprieve.

No More Heroes 3 overworld performance is giving me Deadly Premonitions 2 PTSD.  :notlikethis

Will play Psychonauts 2 on Gamepass though.

Psychonauts 2 and No More Heroes later/whenever. No psysical Psychonauts? :jeanluc

Have Hades physical preordered. I hate roguelikes, so I want to be able to sell it, if the "this one's different" hype is bs.

Pre-ordered Kena already.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite has been getting good previews of late too...  Sounds like it's better off to play with a group though...  :-\

And this is why I try and remind myself to quit pre-ordering games more than a week out from launch.

I can't wait for No More Heroes 3. Also can't wait for people to get angry about the game since the setup for the story in this one happened in Travis Strikes Again.

Ah, that sucks- (if you ignore my stupid backlog) I was going to be in a dry period for something new to play in August so I was gonna get it at launch (only $40!) but now it's launching 2 days before Diablo 2 Resurrected. Guess I'll pick it up later.

A sequel to Psychonauts is coming out and I haven't heard much of anything about it? MS what is your marketing even doing.

I feel like nothing that's day 1 on game pass gets much marketing. It just kind of comes out and then it's free and I guess that is the marketing for selling the game at a later point?

For whatever reason game pass games increase sales for games as studies have shown. I still don't really understand that. Why would you pay for something that's free to you for at least the next 6-12 months, especially when a lot of this stuff is single player that you'll clear in a week or two, but good for the devs so not complaining.

To be fair, I'm also similarly baffled by how Spotify generates any profit.

All these people talkin about how NMHIII has poor performance lol

- its on Switch
- fights are 60 fps so who cares
- you should try playing Yakuza Like A Dragon on an Xbox One S, sub 10fps sometimes while exploring. People need to know where they came from and tolerate ballsack performace ffs. It's not like you can buy a Series X or PS5 off the shelf easily

They also went back to being a smaller team cause they hated working with publishers. Travis Strikes Again was the first game since the original No More Heroes with Suda51 back in the director's seat and it absolutely shows.

Someone needs to tell Suda these callbacks to the older games are getting out of hand.

JFC when is Ghostwire:Tokyo due for release?

In fact, now that I think about it, the majority of titles they showed off in the PS5 launch videos are still awaiting release. This is a really slow gen so far  :fbm

Amplitude's much-anticipated Humankind will launch into Xbox Game Pass on PC next week.

The 4X strategy game will finally roll out next Tuesday, 17th August
But I already bought in when it was down to $35 to play in the betas. :doge

Also:
Quote
Amplitude announced it would pull the controversial Denuvo DRM from Humankind before launch, based on data from the game's closed beta and feedback from fans.

"We've been working on this game for more than four years now and personally it's been my dream project for 25 years," Romain de Waubert, boss of Amplitude said. "That being said, our priority is always the best possible experience for the players who buy our games and support us. Denuvo should never impact player performance, and we don't want to sacrifice quality for you guys."
