You might have seen ads that Wingstop has launched "Thighstop" which is the same thing, but with thighs instead of wings. The main reason is that wing prices are going up.
I like thighs. Thighs have more meat than wings (thicc), and they taste good. So Im all for it. Prices looked good too.
Problem 1: You can only order via Doordash, and it has its own menu. So you cant mix and match with Wingstop. And even though theyre coming from the exact same store, they have a smaller menu. Ie, I couldnt add delicious celery sticks.
So I ordered 7 thighs, with 3 different sauces. I had to order 7 to get free shipping. Had I been able to get my scumptious celery sticks, I would have gotten 5.
Problem 2: THE THIGHS WERE FUCKING TINY. Im talking the size of good wings. Like holy shit I didnt know chickens came in this size WTF

Problem 3: Greasy as fuck (see also above). There was a certified olympic pool of grease in my box. I get it, thighs are fatty, thats why theyre good. But for fucks sake surely something can be done to not ship a goddamn grease factory.
Problem 4: They were just fine.
As I said, I like thighs, But at the end of the day, I wish they were grilled with some nice rub instead of a saucy mess in a greasy bed. (One of my three flavors was a dry rub). Its also awkward to dip them in blue cheese, and frankly, good thighs shouldnt need a dip. The blue cheese is good though.
I miss the KFC grilled thighs. Those were GOAT.
So fuck thighstop. I was looking for a good time and all I got was regret.
