Domino’s ain’t bad in a pinch

Had some dominos recently. The thin crust version.  Probably the first time I’ve had it in years. Was craving pizza and they were open.  So i gave it a try.  Not bad. Not bad at all. Did they change the recipe?

They changed their crusts some years back.  Their pan pizza is all right and doesn't taste like cardboard, but it still pales in comparison to any local pizza joint.

It's aight. The only chain that's by me and is reliable is Marco's, but fortunately they're also ok.

Second bork in saying that local places are better but usually more expensive; when I'm feeling cheap I'll order some wings and small pizza from Marco's, otherwise local places.

In Japan, where all pizza is heresy, Domino's is the only one that's not a constant disappointment.

Pizzas are heresy? :thinking

I have the anecdotal feeling that American-style burgers are really popular in Japan, though.

Oh, yes, I am ashamed to admit that the best burger I've ever had was in Shinjuku. 2nd best was in Osaka. These sub ¥1000 burgers beat out the $50 burger at Wynn Las Vegas.

But pizza is popular in Japan, it's just expensive and bad. I've gone off about this before: there's a combo pizza that's seaweed, squid, corn, and mayonnaise. Most of the time it's just shitty crust and miserably flavorless sauce.

So: heresy.

Damn, I'm going to Vegas and will probably end up paying that $50 lol. Guess the next Bore-con will go to Shinjuku! :rejoice
