My life is very insular and lonely, so I felt both better and worse last time I deleted everything. Now I’m thinking about doing it again because I just don’t belong anywhere; nobody sees or acknowledges anything I post or tweet or whatever, so what’s the point of trying to engage in it? If social media existed back in my late teens/early 20s, it would’ve been really helpful. In my mid-40s, though, mostly it just makes me resentful and angry about others having what I never did.
Some people really need them I notice. I personally don't them because I believe in being authentic and not some automaton robot following flavor of the month dating advice.If someone asks for them, I'd do them, sure. But I prefer more organic communications.
