Just came across the boxart for the upcoming Chrono Cross remake and I think this is one of the nicest boxarts I've seen in a while.

It's bright, looks fun and gives a sense of adventure, which is what you want from an RPG.

I like the black and white one more than the red one.

haven't really cared about box art since the psx. a mix of good and so bad it's good, would usually just choose games from the video store based on box art and those sweet inserts with flavour text for the game on the back

Proper bold choice this one. I love the simplicity.

This is lovely. I miss the old NES style hand drawn boxarts.

This one captures the spirit of the game perfectly. That gritty dirty grindhouse feel

He came back and did some more artwork recently, in the same style, too!

I love Atari 2600 box art because it captures exactly what the games look like.

FUCK YES. My copy is sitting right on my shelf right now, in front of my Hiroshi Nagai artbooks

I have a print of this one signed and framed. So awesome.

There's not really much 'game' here as you are at the mercy of the wind, which is random... but the soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal and it's fun to just fly around in dated early PS1 3D open world environments. Artdink was such an interesting and experimental game dev.

Seeing this giant fat PC box in the store:

Opening up the front flap and staring at these wild ass graphics:

Getting it, waiting like 40 minutes for it to install from CD and then finding out that yeah, this game really does look like that?

Love the ones that game with huge manuals.

The trapezoid ones eidos used to release, used to dump them in my closet. Didn’t fit the shelf.
