I'm on day three and woke up with incredible hunger. I almost gave in until I drank some green tea. I've been doing intermittent fasting for years: I've done multiple 24 hour fasts, even a few 48 hour fasts. I've done a lot of dry fasting for Ramadan. I actually find dry fasting easier than water fasting but either way, this is my first 2 week fast. I've been getting closer to Allah the past two days. It's a nice cleanse. i went to morning prayer at the masjid the past couple of days and it feels good. I've been taking electrolyte supplements which have lots of sodium, calcium, vitamin D, magnesium;etc. in pill form. I pop the pill off and just swallow with some water or tea. It's actually delicious. Mmmm salt.
