Of course a lot of my planned gaming time this weekend was taken up by the Series X install and upgrade  :cry

But managed to get a few hours in. Game is great so far, more adventures with Ichiban and his friends. Comedy is through the roof already. The bit about spicy curry was awesome. Being able to position yourself in battle will be huge for combat strategies and I'm kinda surprised it wasn't in the first game. Guess it was probably harder to implement than it looks. Guess I'm settling in with this game for the next couple of months. Will buy the NG+ paywall pack eventually

Played a bunch this weekend. Just completed chapter 3. A bit slow to start, with tons of dialogue and cutscenes, but once you finally get free reign of Honolulu at the start of ch 3 it really gets its hooks in. Getting catfished in the dating app minigame, playing a Pokemon Snap type minigame except you're taking pics of perverts, and the improvements to the battle system with more control of positioning/angling.

Guess my only complaint so far, apart from the (expected) slow start, is that the battle theme kinda sucks. Dubstep and trap just feel so early 2010s :p

Except the tunes in Like A Dragon go super hard, and I'm hoping to hear even more from IW. Let them cook

Yeah the music is all good lol. Haven't heard a total banger yet but I'm sure there's some coming. The reggae kinda fight theme in Hawaii is sweet.

After the "Street Surfer" cutscenes and getting the device I can safely say this is GOTY 2024. Highly doubt anything can top that

This was my fave track from Yakuza 7

How long did 7 take for you?

Wondering if I should get it for PS5 and try to wrap it up while I’m at home. Or wait and get it on PC and play it leisurely. Prefer PS5 for consistency.

Think 7 took me 70 hours with post game stuff.

7 took me long as well because I grinded to 99 for True Millenium Tower -- all optional shit
