a complete and thorough analysis of evilbore statistics
« on: February 06, 2007, 10:15:56 PM »
i glanced at the board stats today and i thought some of it was worthy of discussion

let's take a look:

Quote
Top Topic Starters

Willco       415

Phoenix Dark       340

Drinky Crow       202
TVC 15       179
Cheebs       178
Christopher       165
Viz       162
am nintenho       150

these are the people who have made the most threads. as you can see, willco has made 75 more threads than phoenix dark who is in 3rd place. himuro in 4th is a steep drop of 99 threads.

CajoleJuice       28d 40m
Saint Cornelius       27d 17h 9m

these people just leave their browser open a lot and don't necessarily actively post at evilbore for the entire duration of these times. allow me to point out phoenix dark. this man has spent over a month of his lifetime logged into evilbore. actually, everyone from 7th place and up has. TVC is barely hanging on to 5th place with a lead of only 6 hours over MAF.

Quote
Male to Female Ratio:    8.2:1

here's a special stat. from this statistic it is quite plain to see that evilbore is indeed a sausage fest. therefore we can draw the conclusion that we should not be surprised when so much gay subtext springs up. there is a lack of female presence and therefore sexual frustration among men arises quite frequently, and they feel the need to explore their sexuality.

these people post the most. i can make a hypothesis that most of their posts contain little to no actual content. please observe cloudwalking with 13965 posts. by using simple math, we can decipher that cloudwalking makes an average of 72.734 posts per day, which would mean that she makes an average of 3.030 posts per hour in a 24 hour span. someone needs a life.

A mother fucker isn't ruining the last Harry Potter book for me, no way. Last time some dumbass on IGN's messageboard ruined it for me. Although...the "twist" that's become apart of internet lore is really superficial because it's not nearly as simple as Snape killing Dumbledore. At least I don't believe it is...
spoiler (click to show/hide)
Snape is a good guy
[close]

And even with OOTP the major death was spoiled for me too. So I'm going to just not visit any message boards through July-Aug and request to be IP banned from here so I don't accidentily look.

You know you're just gonna eat it up and finish it in like a week, PD.

I prefer to read at a gradual rate. Like 2-3 chapters a night I guess. I like feeling like I'm making the journey with the characters, over a period of time.

it's a tradition for me with HP books to read the entire book without putting it down (other than to eat, bathe, or use the bathroom) from the moment it touches my hands until the moment i finish it. OOTP's 870 pages did a number on me, but i finished reading it in under 24 hours, i forget exactly how long it took. i'm an extremely fast reader.

Don't you feel burnt out after doing that?  I mean I read lord of the flys in one sitting (about 5.5 hours) and my eyes where just fryed after doing that, lol.

I don't like reading entire books at one time. I prefer to read a couple chapters and go to bed wondering and worrying about what's going to happen next. And then anticipating the next night so I can read again

PIGGY, NOO :lol

Oh boy I have so many stories.

Ok our teacher (who was also my advisor) told the class to get into 4 person groups and make posters for the specific theme she gave us. We were then told to do the work in another classroom. So my group is doing our poster and it's looking nice when this girl from the class comes by. She had a speech impediment that made her slur her words while giving off a slight NY accent.

Girl: Wow I like the poster. Haha you have glitter in your hair lemme get it out
*she brushes it out a guy in the group's hair
Dude: *tries not to laugh*

So after she leaves one guy in the group was like "lol I wonder what she'd sound like with a dick in her mouth" and started humming like distinguished mentally-challenged fellow. I know I shouldn't have laughed, but for some reason I couldn't control myself and fell out my seat laughing while rolling around. Then I looked up and the dean was staring at me :lol

We didn't watch the movie in my highschool, just read the book.

I'm not a fan of allegory to begin with, which is why I still haven't read Animal Farm, but what bothered me most about that book was the unlikeliness of it all. I love fiction as much as the next person, but I just cannot see a group of kids no older than 12 being mature and civilized enough to form a society of sorts. I just can't.

It wasn't too boring to read or anything though, I'll give ya that much. I had to read Heart of Darkness for the same teacher the following year (AP English & lit, yuck) and it just dragged on and on and on and made me want to stab someone.

They weren't mature or civilized; that was the point of the book Nikki wtf. The most civilized, smart boys from the most proper schools devolving into savages .

wtf, is with you guys getting to read this in high school.  every high school book I've been assigned is shitty stuff like they cage the animals at night or to kill a mocking bird.  Though that changed today, I got assigned a brave new world, so I'm happy now.

We had to read Catcher in the Rye and Of Mice and Men.

And some really boring book about some guy who had to tell the story from his mind, since his face and limbs were blown off. Pretty cool envisioning it in your head though.
