What the hells wrong with American TV censorship?

I was watching a ummm copy of an episode of seinfeld, and they blocked out the word 'bastard'
What the fuck is that shit?

i miss canadian TV, they pretty much showed softcore porn on certain channels late at night. i remember watching some of it when i was little with the volume way down 

i was a pretty naughty kid.

but yeah, american TV networks are pretty prudish in comparison to most other TV networks around the world.

Yeah they say bastard on TV pretty regularly. Unless you're watching MTV, only the "big 7" really get censored.

If you're watching MTV, EVERYTHING gets censored (in the music videos). It's ridiculous.
