i think it's really funny how angry people get about vgcharts and nextgenwars

it's pretty obvious that some people have agendas about which set of numbers they prefer... but they will make up all sorts of crazy arguments about statistics and stuff to say they don't trust one or the other

it would be better if the there was an official top 10 or 25 or whatever every week.  they do it for movies and music so why not for games?

It's always the Sony fans who get most upset over them, because it seems like the numbers never go their way anymore. It's hilarious to see people on GAF sit back and say "oh the Wii is selling ok in Japan, but once VF5 comes out things change!"

Watch the game utterly bomb. Anihawk owned them all with the weak sales of the last VF games yet every day someone brings up that talking point.

I hate vgcharts because ioi is a gimp fuck who uses GAF to spam.

JoshuaStone tracks numbers just like ioi, without being a cockass about it.

I'd think Gundam Musou would be a better game for Sony fans to pin their hopes on; at least until FF13.

I don't expect the PS3 to sell well in Japan until

A. a big pricedrop (like, $50-100)
B. a big time franchise (IE not MGS) like FF
