She left her family in the trailer trash world she escaped and never cared to visit them. I remember seeing one show where they flew her once best friend to Anna's house and she wouldn't even answer the door at first.

What I would like to know is why people act surprise evertime the news media does this. Its not exactly a new occurrence.

If the press can focus on a single murder, or a single kidnapping of a white girl in Oregeon (or was it Utah) for months at a time. Anything is possible!

The thing I find most annoying is that she did absolutely nothing of interest during her "career", yet people act like this is the death of some giant star. She wasn't a star. She was a joke, and her family felt she abandomed them.

It's just a strange and odd piece of news. She was really young and had all sorts of drama going on in her life. It was a shock more than anything. Similar to when Steve Irwin died.

It's a strange situation. She's spent the past how many years fucked up, making TV shows about how fucked up she is. All of a sudden, she's in the middle of a paternity mystery with 3 different shady suitors, and she refuses to allow for test to be taken. Then her son died. Two months later she dies. If you can't spot some tension, or a mystery here, I suggest looking again. Of course, there are also the Marilyn comparisons.

Why does the media care so much? Ratings. People eat this shit up.
