Hibachi: Time for Arenas to STFU
« on: February 11, 2007, 03:17:30 PM »
I thought he was going to score 50 points today against Portland? After three quarters Washington doesn't even have 50 points! Agent Zero is 0-7 from outside and has just 9 points.

This is your MVP WIllco?

He played pretty damned well against the Cavs last year.

0 for 8 from three. I guess he's getting ready for the three point contest. Might as well just give it to Dirk, like the MVP trophy.

Heat OWNED the Spurs :lol

Looks like they're getting poised to make their run. I seriously don't think home court will matter much with them - last year they embarrased Detroit at the Palace twice. They should be able to move ahead of Orlando (what happened to them?), Indy (suspensions are about to rock them), and possibly Chicago, thus putting them at the 5 seed. I think they could move to 4 actually (Toronto)

It really doesn't matter how good Shaq is because he has such a presence on the court that he gets the focus of the defense and creates space for his teammates.

The Spurs are 8.5 games back of the Mavs!

A healthy Spurs team could beat the Mavs. Alas, I doubt it'll happen. Mavs will win the west, which means they automaticaly win the championship.

That doesn't mean I'll be rooting for them! If it's Toronto vs Dallas you'll see where my heart is!

Why would your heart be in Toronto?

The Mavs would crush the Raptors. It would be the most boring NBA Finals ever. Every game would be a blowout.

The Wizards are in trouble without Jamison, and they just lost Etan Thomas (another blow to the team).  Arenas can't play Portland by himself.  He shouldn't have guaranteed 50 points so far in advance, because you never know who'll get injured. :lol

Come on Willco are you going to pull out the Jamison card for the Trailblazers?

Uh, yeah.  I told you, the Wizards can't win a game without the trio.  They've got nobody inside.  And the only guy inside that had a little bit of flash was Thomas, and now he's suspended.

They'll just double team Arenas all night and all day.  Obviously, he's have a poor performance day.  Even without Jamison he's still shooting in the 25+ points per night range.  But he's not going to score 50 'till Jamison comes back.

If the Wizards can't win a game without Jamison, then all this Arenas MVP nonsense has to stop.

If Jamison was back in there, and instead of Arenas you had Juan Dixon - you still think the Wizards could win :lol

Arenas is the engine that makes the car work, but Butler and Jamison are the tires.  Without 'em, he's not going anywhere.
