When shit Breaks what do you do?

I was at school today working on my laptop writing my paper when my ac adapter started to make noise and then My laptop died. so i take it in my warranty gives $1000 For a replacement laptop of my choice. they tell me It will take two weeks to get verified if They can't replace it with the same model so now i have no  pc to work on. What would you do?

Same thing I've done when a vehicle breaks down.  roll with it.
