So I have a friend who calls me "Garrett-san" and I can't make any sense of it. She's Indian and it makes no sense. She also calls other friends similar stuff like "_____-kun" and blah blah. It's really irritating but she's such a sweet girl so I can't be mean.

Also, when I went to Astro World for the last time before it closed down forever (RIP), I got on the texas tornado ride and the person next to me wore a Naruto ninja head band and reeked of otaku. He was scared so he said,"I'M GOING TO CUSS IN JAPANESE!" and he...did. It was odd.

i had 2 friends whom i knew for a couple of years turn into japanophiles/fegs as the years went by. i mocked them to see if they'd realize how distinguished mentally-challenged they were, but that only increased the distance between us and led them to hide their activities. that was the best possible outcome outside of them giving up on it though; better not have them close than have them there annoying the shit out of me, or even ashaming me at times.

there was also this dude in first semester on college who would talk about hentai, look at it in public computers, discuss about anime and - this part might be uncalled - argue about nintendo all the time. he was pretty weird, and would always preach about japan's superiority. he said that he cosplayed in animu conventions too.

A lot of anime fanboys and otakus are weird but they are mostly harmless, so I can't hate them; they may be obnoxious (in my experience) but at least they don't really cause trouble. You won't find a bunch of japafags getting into rumbles at trashy clubs because someone "dissed their girl", for instance.

Another observation: most of the people who have the greatest amount of viritol for anime fanboys, furries, etc. are nerds as well (maybe not nearly as "far gone" as someone who writes Star Trek porn fanfics though...). I don't see your average, every day prep, or wigger, or jock or whatever, give furries any more shit than they would any other nerd. Not to mention, your average every day prep, jock, etc would probably lump most of us with all the furries and anime geeks under one blanket, to them we're all a bunch of geeks.

I worked with this one japafag at an EB games. He wasn't a bad dude he was just lazy and pretty much talked about nothing other than anime. Why was he lazy you ask? In EB Games there are game magazine racks as I'm sure you my fellow geeks are aware and he used to hide in between the 4 racks and read the magazines and if you called for him he'd freak and be like "I'm just organizing the magazines."

But anyways he knew way more about anime than anyone I've ever met. My other friend and I would be there talking about anime and he'd start rambling off the director, the guy who did music, the producer, the artists; all by first and last name mind you. It was a pretty sick amount of knowledge but the dude was cool so whatever. If you think about it they're not much worse than the sports fans who know tons of players by first and last name, their stats and watch sports 24/7. At least there's anime that makes you think and doing either doesn't get you exercise so whatev, it's a hobby and I

anime.
