Are they remastering End of Evangelion?

I picked up the remastered complete set for pretty cheap, but I am having trouble fighting Death and Rebirth or End of Evangelion pretty much everywhere ive looked. Which makes me think maybe its getting a new edition, which makes me think maybe I should wait ;)

As for the remastered comment, the tv episodes were all cleaned up and remastered, but both D&R and End of Eva only got one dvd release, and they're somewhat old releases, shortly after the first dvd releases of the show came out, and that was ooone shitty run of anime on dvd.

Shit transfer, overlay issues all over the place.

God. The wait for End of Evangelion on dvd over here was unbearable. I just decided to watch the fansubs instead. It was delay after delay!

Yeah I have a couple...borrowed versions, but the stuff I really like I grab on DVD, like Tylor, Tsukikage Ran..i'd get slayers if they would re-release remastered like was promised when it was all bought from Central Park Media :-(

Death and Rebirth and End of Evangelion were remastered in Japan as part of the Renewal of Evangelion (which is where the Platinum edition came from), but they've yet to be released in North America.

The Japanese Renewal version of End is also anamorphic widescreen, whereas Manga's international release is matted letterbox.

TVC: 14 frames, thats two extra frames of gags relating to wacky faces!

Distant: any word when they're coming over? End of Eva is honestly worth the double dip imo tho.

Slayers was supposed to get a re-release too but all I see are bizzare loli robot psychic shit at the store :-(

So is it still on their 'to do' list or what. The first series could use some serious remastering. I mean ADV I think is still releasing all the OVAs and Movies but I dont like those nearly as much.
