I don't count britcoms as sitcoms. When I think sitcom I think lots and lots of episodes. When I think Britcom I think like 12-18 really great episodes.

even better! i wish more US programs (programmes) had a limited-edition way of thinking. how glorious 24 would've been had it only been one season

Arrested Development and News Radio might have been a little bit better, but I gotta give it to Seinfeld for the longevity. Really only the last season out of 9 sucked.

I wouldn't even say the last season sucked, honestly. Eight and Nine were definitely weaker, but they still both had some great episodes.

Agreed.

And as for AD, when I watched it another time around, I really did notice that the third season had a drop in quality (albeit a small one). Having such a short run has already helped it in terms of people looking back on it with such affection.

The fact that Seinfeld was able to keep the quality that high for that long still amazes me.

Seinfeld is gold, but I sorta feel like I "grew up" more with Arrested Development. Started watching it when it started, been a fan since (and after

). For Seinfeld, I sorta just caught teh tail end and watch the repeats. It's DAMN funny, but it runs a LOT.

Who the fuck voted for Friends?

Oh, and give the Office another season and you have a pretty damn good one as well.

I never watched it in its prime. Now, whenever I catch an episode every now and then, it just feels old and busted. Plus, alot of the humor just seems to be pandering to idiots, which shows like Curb and AD never do.
