Wtf, mate.  I rented it because you said it rocked.  That was so boring.  The best part was when Pierce Brosnan was banging chicks.

I like the sly dig in the thread title.

Will rent this movie soon to see what all the fuss is about.

Don't waste your money!  This is a cable viewing if there ever was one.  And to think, he liked Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang!

To each their own, but I totally loved it. Pierce plays seedy much better than he ever did suave. Thats half the fun of the flick, seeing a grimey Pierce Brosnan gone to seed. It's hardly an original movie by any means, but I enjoyed the performances, got some great laughs, and felt its heart was in the right place. Im not sure what you expected, but its just a fairly light and breezy indie "dramady" flick with some dark humor thrown in. Sadly, you'd never know that based on the trailer, which is one of the most misleading ever, making the film look like an action flick. The movie is also a great tourism ad for Mexico if Ive ever seen one.

Not every movie can be For The Love Of The Game.

I agree with Solo.  I thought the movie was a lot of fun, and the comment about the "grimey" Pierce is dead on.  Seeing him as a burned-out hitman was great.  I thought both Greg Kinnear and Pierce Brosnan were both excellent, which is what really made the movie for me.  Good directing from Richard Shephard, too.

I enjoyed it. Brosnan was better in it than his four bond films(or remington steele for that matter).

I was expecting something not competely boring.  It also had one of the most anti-climatic climaxes ever.

To each their own then. You can't win em all.

You like Clerks though, so we'll call it a draw  :D

I'm glad people like Brosnan's seedy performance, and he did his job in acting, but if I wanted to see an English bloke do their best Burt Reynolds impression in a bad movie, I'd rather just watch Burt Reynolds in a bad movie.
