Scientists believed it too, at least until roughly the time of Copernicus. Ether didn't mean the same thing as it does today, though. Back then ether was believed to be this magic, conductive space jelly.

That's a pretty good salary for someone your age. Honestly though, I can assure you that MAF doesn't work at Staples, and even if he did, why is that a reason to disrespect someone?
