What does it mean when you have a cold for over a week?

I'm recovering from what was either the flu or a really bad cold, and its more than a week later and I don't feel bad anymore but I still have a really snotty nose and am coughing all the time. What does this mean??

go to the doctor. he will prescribe you hydrocodone for your cough, which is AWESOME. Take 3x the recommended amount and TRIP THE FUCKING LIGHT FANTASTIC -- you just got yourself a ticket to POPPY HEAVEN!
