So how bout that Heroes

Awwwwesome show, what an episode.  Exploding white trash!  Haitian mute....unmuted!  Indestructable girl...nuked and naked!  Such a great episode.  Best drama on TV punks.

Heroes was pretty amazing tonight.  I have officially switched from Jack Bauer: Action Hour, and good timing to boot!

That scene of Claire walking out of the house, right after Ted went off, was one of the coolest things ever.

What is odd is that the format of this episode was very, very different than almost any other on the show.  It felt like LOST more than anything else.

It was a shame that shitty Black Donnellys pilot came on afterwards to ruin my good Heroes vibe.

funny, just saw Heroes for the first time ever tonight and I was totally unimpressed, maybe you have to have followed the show from the start to care about all the bullshit that happened because nothing seemed monumental and nothing was unexpected.

Black Donnelly's was pretty cool though.

Black Donelly's looks like shit, Heroes really has to be watched from the very beginning but it gets you really in when it starts so you could finish all of the previous episodes in a week.  Really bad idea to watch this episode before any of the other but I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Running into a burning train is badass. Running into a nuke man to knock him out is badass.

I'll probably have to kill someone if Heroes goes on hiatus after next week's episode and it's as awesome as last Monday's.

Heroes doesn't have great writing. Its success lies, for me, with the actors, who have elevated the writing. The actors for HRG, Hiro, Claude, and the Petrelli's, in particular. But yeah, say what you will about the writing, last weeks episode is still the best hour of TV this year.

Writing? For what? The story or the dialogue?

I personally think it has great writing for a weekly televised serial. Compared to dreck like 24, Jericho or Lost, it's almost Shakespearean

Dialogue. I'll give them props for story structure, in that they are managing to juggle all these storylines, and that the plot seems to be pretty well laid out. But the nuts and bolts of the dialogue is awfully cheesey. Perhaps thats what Im trying to say. Not that the writing is bad, per se, but that its pretty cheesey/ham-fisted a lot of the time.

Who cares anyways? I love the show.
24 sucks anyways now, so lets not compare. 24 exists solely of S1 and S2 in my mind now.

Agree to disagree. I think it's got some great dialogue, even willing to poke fun at itself once in a while. ("Not a scratch on the Nissan whateverthefuck!")

Again, compare that to Jack Bauer yelling "WHO DO YOU WORK FOR!?!?" ad nauseum.

WiFi chick went to Vegas to take out Linderman. It's in the comics. The comics fill in the gaps a lot of times.

Thats pretty annoying, if you ask me. Fill in the story during, you know, THE SHOW. Not in comics that maybe 1% of viewers are reading.

Yeah. Ive actually said that a lot of times on GAF - that for a bug budget show on a big network, Heroes mostly has terrible effects. I usually just get ignored, lolz.
