Daxter PSP is my Game of the Year

Yes yes, I know Okami is out soon, and UGnG, but GOTY means a lot more to me than just being a marquee title.

Daxter, through a lot of frenzied play, has proven itself to be as polished deep into the game as it was in the beginning. The gameplay is intelligent, the level design is nothing short of magnificent, the visuals are honestly dropping my jaw more than even Wipeout Pure and Tekken DR could. This my friends is one of the best platformers ever made.

yes yes, NSMB, I own that too, and while it pays homage to the mario titles of old, and is an amazing DS game, it doesnt have that completely polished FINISHED feel of Daxter.

Daxter is fun, better thank Jak II and III.

Yes, it is GOTY, its been a long time since a game has got me this fired up! GO DIE.

I mean it had me enthralled early on, but the boat level sealed it.

I think my current pick for PSP game of the year is going to be Tekken DR...

Tekken DR's AI got so weird, I had 8th kyus doing 4th dan shit, I was mostly getting pissed.

Its just incredibly solid platforming with insane amounts of polish, mini-games that are there but not required, and some brilliant level design. Buy it.

Does it have any collectathon crap in it?  That generally steers me away from 3D platformers.

none of it matters, you CAN collect the red eggs which you really collect by accident for the entirely optional 'dream' mini-games. There was so far one instance of collecting to complete a mission and that was in the quarry, but it meant collecting 8 things by fully exploring the insanely well designed level. So it wasnt really a chore.
