I understand him doing it back in the 80's but this has to be one tough motherfucker to do that again at 64.

Harrison Ford has embarked on an extreme fitness regime for the new Indiana Jones film.

The 64-year-old is making every effort to get in shape to reprise his role as the adventuring archaeologist, 18 years after his last outing.

"He's been furiously working out on the treadmills at a Los Angeles gym for about three hours a day to get in shape," a source close to the actor is quoted as saying.

"He's on a strict high protein diet. He's eating lots of fish and vegetables. It's hard but he's already looking great for it. He wants to make sure Indiana is as tough as he always was."

Shortly after announcing he was to make a fourth film with director Steven Spielberg and producer George Lucas, Harrison insisted he was fit enough to perform his own stunts.

"We need to move on for artistic reasons and obvious physical reasons but I feel fit to continue and bring the same physical action" he said

Harrison was also adamant he got to wield Indiana's famous whip.

Bosses wanted the weapon to be computer generated because of new film safety rules, but the actor branded the rule "ridiculous"

Production begins on June 18th, film will be released May 22nd 2008.

He considers Indiana Jones films the most enjoyable and fun things he ever does, Makes sense after something like Munich he wants to have "fun" again with his buddy George.

Plus, Spielberg's opinion of his own films are contrary to likely to popular opinion in film fans. His best movie he did he thinks is E.T. even to this day. And he thinks Last Crusade is better than Raiders and the best of the 3 still.

Oh and he thinks TPM is the best Star Wars movie. $:-\$

But the screen-writer of SPIDER-MAN wrote it with George Lucas SIR. Spidey + Lucas = Willco's dream.

First off, David Koepp's script for Spider-Man was awful. It was a miracle that Raimi and his brothers, along with an uncredited Alvin Sargent, managed to edit it into something salvagable for the first film. Why don't you think he was brought back for screenplay duties for either sequel?

In general, David Koepp is one of the worst "blockbuster" screenwriters today. His films are largely dumb, poorly written pieces of trash. His name gives me no hope.

Also, George Lucas is a BUM.

Two firey anuses and a bad-to-mediocre script.

I think if anything is going to come from this film it will be Ford showing that he still has character. I like Spielberg and maybe he can make something out of it, but anyone getting their hopes up probably aren't going to be anywhere near satisfied with the final product.

Remember though Lucas does have a lot of on set sway. Not a "director" but almost as much power. He is a very hands on, on set everyday producer who happens to always do second unit directing and interacts with the cast and crew just as much as Spielberg.

Even though Spielberg is the director, Lucas will have just as much on set "power" if you will.
