There are many to choose from, but this is undoubtedly the best.

Other favorites include the Mexican standoff in Reservoir Dogs, the final "dream" sequence in Brazil, and the battle in the torrential downpour in Seven Samurai.

What's all this about? o_O

It is the greatest scene ever. But it can still be your favorite movie. ;)

Im the TGTBATU nut, and this is my fav scene ever, as far as I can tell, you dont even like it or the film that much (or at least you like OUATITW and The Wild Bunch more, and never speak of TGTBATU). All of a sudden it contains your "favorite scene EVAR". Choice am DUBIOUS.

IMO, the way they played with the music was very imaginative, but having the whole beating from the man's p.o.v. got kinda repetitive. Black guy yelling into camera, dragging it around, and stepping on it two minutes ftl.

Most recently, the end of the Departed, the car scene in Children of Men, and the very end of Pan's Labyrinth have hit my list of favorites.

WHAT

Morricone never wrote a single better piece of music than "The Trio" for TGTBATU's final shootout. To say otherwise is blasphemy!

The music in OUATITW is much better imo. Granted I haven't seen GTBTU in awhile, with respect to the duels the "Man with the Harmonica" song is superior IMO

The music and tension is better in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly showdown (better scene too!), but I definitely wanted vengeance more in Once Upon a Time in the West.

I can accept this. As long as we agree that the duel in Ugly had better music and editing.

That "Man with the Harmonica" song really makes the scene for me. In terms of tension I also feel it's superior because you didn't know what was going to happen. Basically with TGTBATU you knew Clint would kill Angel Eyes and that would be it. With OUATITW you pretty much knew who'd win the duel, but at the same time you didn't know what the flashback was about, or why it was so important. And when you see it omg it's stunning

Also I would go on record in saying overall OUATITW has better music than TGTBATU.

Seriously, the reveal of Welles in the film is one of my favorite cinematic moments of all time. Not because its earth shattering or anything like that, but because the way the first hour of the film plays with you, you truly don't expect it anymore.

Then BAM! Its Orson motherfucking Welles.
