associates? why? In this day and age a associates is just as useful as nothing at all. Hell, the pressure is starting to build it seems that you should get a masters or something similar after a bachelor's to get off your feet.

Because WTMC was a superior program. If I had gone to say Ypsi High I would have taken some AP courses all while seeing a bunch of assholes disrupt class and get passed on with little effort. I'd graduate with a highschool diploma and no understanding of anything else.

Instead I graduated with my high school diploma and an associate's degree, as well as a technical certificate. I was able to transfer to EMU as a junior; they took 77 of my credits. And guess what? The program is FREE.

It's way better than highschool, which as MAF said is a waste

I didn't know that when I was 16. :'( When I got out, I found Mcjobs that paid more than what people were offering with my associates.

More importantly it saves you thousands of dollars in college because you don't have to take prerequisites. But that wasn't much of a problem with me because all my classes are paid for as it is. MET/MEAP FTW

My parents gladly want me at home, as for many years as possible. If they are willing to pay for my masters straight out of college I am fine with "using" them if you will while I am still getting the education I want.

Here's why. Jump into the world at 23 and then get my masters when I am like 35 with a young family to support and a full time job?

Or get it over with and jump into the world at 25-26? Easy decision imo. I'd regret not doing it while I am young when I get older, most who go back and get it when they are already working full time do.
