How can he not know that is a pure reflection of the industry itself? An industry of false promises, big talk and huge letdowns. It wants to have its nudity and blood, but not have to face the same standards of art that every other media does. Where is Mr. Dyack's accountability? The first cartoon may be from the 20s, but the soundtrack sure isn't. The Felix cartoons from that era were black and white silents. This cartoon was colorized in the 60s, and I'm guessing that's when the soundtrack was added.

The second cartoon doesn't feature an original soundtrack either. The youtube poster replaced the soundtrack with music from Gerry and the Minesweepers, whoever that is.

I wasn't trying to be a dick; I just couldn't believe that music was created before the 60s. Art isn't created in a vacuum. Musicians, along with other types of artists, learn and imitate the work of those who came before them. They can create novel works of art, but these works are still influenced by the past. So a musician, no matter how talented, isn't going to create psychedelic rock 'n' roll music before the creation of rock 'n' roll music. Or, for that matter, postwar-blues!

Plus, I think the music in the first video featured an electric bass guitar, which wasn't invented yet.
